Need more storage?
Add an Expansion.
Each Powerwall 3 Expansion adds another 13.5 kWh, and up to three can connect to one Powerwall 3. They plug into the Powerwall directly, so there are no extra circuits to run for each battery. That keeps installs simpler and costs down.
Covers about 2.3× a typical sunset-to-sunrise load.
Expansions add storage, not power. For homes that need more power at once (big air-con, pool pumps, EV charging), we pair two Powerwall 3 units instead.

The Backup Gateway 2 detects an outage and switches your home to Powerwall automatically in a fraction of a second. Your solar keeps recharging the battery through the day, so you can ride out a long outage, not just a short one.
Backup needs the Tesla Backup Gateway 2. Your proposal shows whether your system backs up the whole home or selected essential circuits.

Actively cooled for Queensland heat
Unlike passively cooled batteries, Powerwall 3 uses fans and an air intake to keep the inverter and battery at the right temperature, so it keeps performing through hot summers.
Solar inverter built in
Three solar inputs (MPPTs) handle panels facing different directions, such as east, west and north, with 97.5% solar-to-home efficiency. That means one less box on your wall and fewer points of failure.
Future-ready
Add Expansions or extra Powerwalls later, join a virtual power plant (VPP) for extra value, and pair it with EV charging and other smart home tech as the energy market changes.
Built for Queensland weather
Rated for indoor and outdoor installs, with the battery and power electronics sealed to IP67. Tesla says it keeps working even when submerged in 60 cm of water.
